NIDHI GUPTA, J. (ORAL) Prayer in this petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is for quashing of FIR No. 44 dated 01.03.2019 (Annexure P-1) registered under Sections 363 and 366-A IPC and Sections 4 and 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 (for short-'the POCSO Act') at Police Station Division No. 6, District Ludhiana and all consequential proceedings arising therefrom on the basis of compromise. At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that offences under Sections 4 and 6 of the POCSO Act have been deleted against the petitioner, and after completion of investigation, the police had filed cancellation report in the matter. The aforesaid assertion made by learned counsel for the petitioner had already been noticed by a co-ordinate Bench of this Court in the order dated 16.02.2023. Further, RISHU KATARIA 2024.04.08 18:37 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment.

CRM-M-10705-2020 -2- 2024:PHHC:046836 it is submitted that the petitioner and respondent No. 3/victim have solemnized marriage and they are residing happily together as husband and wife. Thus, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the instant petition may be disposed of as having been rendered infructuous, in view of the fact that cancellation report has been submitted by the Investigating Agency.

Learned counsel for the State has not disputed the aforesaid submissions of learned counsel for the petitioner and on instructions from Head Constable Surinder Singh, she fairly admits that in the present case, the police had filed cancellation report on 24.11.2020. In view of the above, the instant petition is disposed of, as having been rendered infructuous.
