M.M.S. BEDI, J (ORAL) Petitioners claim that they have attained majority and married against the wishes of their family members. Through the instant petition, they seek the protection of their life and liberty. Notice of motion to the Advocate General, Punjab. On asking of the Court, notice has been accepted by Mr.J.S.Brar, AAG., Punjab, present in the Court. Copy given. The petitioners appear to have submitted a representation dated 15.1.2015 Annexure P4, to the Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana. The matter appears to be covered by the judgment in Pradeep Kumar Vs. State of Haryana, 2008 (3) RCR (Crl.) 376.

CRM-M-1802-2015 (O&M) validity of the marriage between the parties, this petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents that the petitioners will not be forcibly taken in custody by any of the respondents on the allegations that petitioner No.1 has been kidnapped or abducted by petitioner No.2. In case of any imminent threat to the petitioners, it will be open to them to approach the Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana, who is expected to act in accordance with law to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners.
