The petitioner through instant petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is seeking directions to respondents to act upon his representation dated 31.01.2025.

Reply dated 17.04.2026 filed by Ms. Kamaldeep Kaur, Advocate on behalf of respondent Nos.1 & 2 is taken on record. Registry is directed to tag the same at an appropriate place. 3.

The petitioner is a Non-Resident Indian currently residing in USA along with his family. He is owner of a house located in Model Town, Ward No.2, Old Dhariwal, District Gurdaspur which he has let out to one Parvez son of Jalal Din. He claims that in October' 2020, he had given a

-2portion of the house for a specific period on monthly rent of Rs. 3000/-. There was default in payment of rent on the part of tenant-Parvez. Rent of Rs. 1,62,611/- and electricity bill charges of Rs. 57,110/- are currently due against tenant. Petitioner in order to disconnect the electricity connection has preferred representation dated 31.01.2025 to Punjab State Power Corporation Limited, Punjab (in short 'PSPCL') but to no avail. He has also submitted a complaint dated 26.03.2025 before the Department of Good Governance and IT regarding forceful occupation of his house on the part of tenant-Parvez. He has also filed representations dated 18.08.2025 and 29.11.2025.

On 24.02.2026, following order was passed:

"Counsel for the petitioner states that by representation dated 31.01.2025 (Annexure P-3), petitioner has requested for the disconnection of an electricity connection which is running in his name.

Advance copy of the petition has been served upon the respondents.

Ms. Kamaldeep Kaur, Advocate, has put in appearance on behalf of respondents No.1 and 2 and filed Memo of Appearance today in Court, which is taken on record. She requests for a short accommodation to get instructions.

List on 17.04.2026."

Learned counsel for the respondent submits that Corporation has not received any representation of the petitioner. Electricity dues are pending against the petitioner and an appropriate action in accordance with provisions of Electricity Act would be taken in due course.

Learned counsel for the petitioner agrees to the aforesaid arrangement.

In the wake of statement of both sides, the petition stands disposed of.
