Reply by way of affidavit of Talwinder Sigh Gill, PPS, Assistant Commissioner of Police (West), Ludhiana on behalf of respondents No.1 to 3 has been filed today in the Court and the same is taken on record. Copy of the same has been supplied to the counsel opposite.

Learned counsel for the State submits that investigation is complete and challan stands filed. Since this petition is for seeking fair investigation and as such is not maintainable.

At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners want to settle the matter out of court and he wants to withdraw this petition.

Learned counsel for respondents No.4 and 5 opposed the prayer. The prayer is innocuous.
