(ORAL) The petitioner herein seeks the issuance of a direction to respondents No.1 to 3 to entrust the investigation pertaining to the FIR bearing No.272 dated 19.11.2019 registered at Police Station City Ferozepur, District Ferozepur, under Sections 420, 120-B IPC and Section 13 of the Punjab Prevention of Human Smuggling Act, 2012, either to some other independent Investigating Agency or to some senior police official or to direct the official respondents to conduct fair, impartial and expeditious investigation in the said FIR. Mr. Bhupender Beniwal, learned Assistant Advocate General, Punjab, has appeared on behalf of respondents No.1 to 3 in this case, in pursuance of the copies of the present petition having been sent to the respondent-State in advance and he, on the instructions from ASI Roshan Lal of Police Station City Ferozepur, apprises the Court that the NEETU RANI 2021.09.14 19:00 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document PHHC

At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the instant petition while submitting that in view of the above-said eventuality, the petitioner would be availing the alternative, efficacious and appropriate remedy, as may be permissible to him under law, to seek the redressal of this grievance. Learned State counsel has no objection for the same. Resultantly, the petition in hand stands dismissed for having been withdrawn accordingly.
