M.M.S. BEDI, J (ORAL) Petitioner is alleged to have submitted his driving licence to facilitate the registration of the vehicle in his name which was stolen property.

After hearing the counsel for the petitioner and State counsel, it appears debatable issue at this stage whether the petitioner had knowledge about the vehicle sought to be registered as stolen vehicle. The petitioner has been in custody w.e.f. 1.12.2014. Recoveries have already been effected. The petition is allowed. Petitioner is ordered to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds/surety bonds to the satisfaction of the Illaqua Magistrate.
