RAMENDRA JAIN, J. (ORAL) Prayer in the instant petition under Section 439 Cr.P.C. has been made for grant of regular bail to petitioner Raghubir @ Patwari in case arising from FIR No.69 dated 08.03.2018 registered under Section 15 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 at Police Station Taraori, District Karnal.

According to the prosecution, 11 kgs 900 grams of poppy husk was recovered from the possession of the petitioner. Learned counsel for the petitioner inter alia contends that petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case. The quantity of the contraband allegedly recovered from the petitioner is non-commercial. The petitioner is in custody since 8.03.2018 The conclusion of trial will take a long time.

On the other hand, learned State counsel vehemently opposed the bail application.
