**** RITU BAHRI, J. (Oral) Present petition is for grant of regular bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.143 dated 19.12.2016, under Sections 376-D, 365, 452, 506, 148, 149 and 120-B IPC and Section 25/27/54/59 of Arms Act, registered at Police Station Kulgari, District Ferozepur.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the allegations in the FIR are that the petitioner along with two other persons had gone to the house of the complainant where his daughter was staying with Nachhattar Singh son of the complainant and the allegation of rape has not been attributed to the present petitioner. The allegation of rape has been attributed to main accused, namely, Joginder Singh and Bakhshish Singh. Learned State counsel, on instructions from investigating officer, has informed that after framing of charges, there are 13 witnesses to Naresh Kumar 2017.06.01 11:50 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh be examined.

CRM-M-18511-2017 -2I have heard the learned counsel for the parties and with their able assistance gone through the material available on record. The petitioner was arrested on 24.12.2016. Since then, he is in judicial custody and no useful purpose would be served to further detain him in jail. The final conclusion of trial will take a long time. In view of above facts, the present petition is allowed. The petitioner is ordered to be released on regular bail on his furnishing adequate bail bonds and surety bonds to the satisfaction of learned trial Judge/Duty Magistrate, Ferozepur.

Needless to mention that, nothing observed here-in-above, would reflect, on merits in the trial of the main case, in any manner.
