No one has put in appearance on behalf of the petitioner. 2.

Learned State counsel has stated that the petitioner and his wife (LR of the petitioner) have expired during the pendency of this Writ Petition and handed over the death certificate of the petitioner. The same is taken on record. The Registry is directed to tag the same at the appropriate place. 3.

The petitioner by way of this Writ Petition has challenged the accelerated promotion granted to respondent No.3-Shri Harchand Singh alleging it to be in excess of the reservation quota. However, this Court finds that respondent No.3 has also expired.

In the circumstances, the issue cannot be examined in absence of both the petitioner as well as respondent No.3. 5.

In view of the aforesaid observations, this Writ Petition is dismissed.

All the pending applications in this Writ Petition stand disposed of accordingly.
