Petitioner (Harvinder Singh @ Goggi) has filed this petition, inter alia, praying for issuance of directions to the respondents to release him on parole for a period of eight weeks under Section 3(1)(d) of the Punjab Good Conduct Prisoners Temporary Release Act, 1962. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner, at the outset, submits that the instant petition has become infructuous as the concession of parole has already been approved to the petitioner for a period of eight weeks by the Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate, Ludhiana. Accordingly, prayer has been made for withdrawal of the instant petition. 3.

Learned State counsel while conceding the aforesaid factual position, has tendered short reply by way of affidavit dated 30.04.2024 of Ms. Sakshi Sawhney, I.A.S., Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana and status APURVA 2024.05.09 11:03 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document/judgment High Court, Chandigarh report by way of affidavit dated 02.05.2024 of Mr. Shivraj Singh Nandgarh,
