***** GURVINDER SINGH GILL, J.(Oral) Today, at the very outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he may be permitted to withdraw the present petition at this stage with liberty to surrender before the trial Court and to apply for grant of regular bail.

In view of the aforesaid request, the present petition is dismissed as withdrawn at this stage with liberty aforesaid. However, in case the petitioner surrenders before the trial Court within a period of one week from today and applies for grant of regular bail, the learned trial Court shall endeavour to dispose of the same expeditiously preferably within a period of less than one week from filing of such application while having due regard to the antecedents of the petitioner and also as to whether the petitioner before his absence had been appearing regularly before the Trial Court.
