(ORAL) Petitioners, by way of instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C., have approached this Court by way of instant petition seeking direction to the official respondents to protect life and liberty of the petitioners and their family members from private respondents No 5 to 8.

Notice of motion was issued and pursuant thereto, reply by way of affidavit dated 12.8.2015 of the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub Division Goindwal Sahib, District Tarn Taran, filed in the Court today, is taken on record and copy thereof has been supplied to the learned counsel for the petitioner.

CRM-M-18542 of 2015 (O&M) After hearing learned counsel for the parties, present petition is disposed of with a direction to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Tarn Taran-respondent No. 3 to look into the matter personally and ensure that no harm is caused to the life and liberty of the petitioner as well as their family members by respondents No. 5 to 8 or by any other person at their instance. Respondent No. 3 is further directed to conduct an effective enquiry, at an early date and in case, respondents No. 5 to 8 or any other person is found guilty, an appropriate action shall be taken against him. Disposed of, accordingly.
