(ORAL) Prayer in the instant petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is for issuance of a direction to respondents No. 1 and 2 to protect the life and liberty of petitioner and his family members at the hands of respondents No. 3 to 5 who are harassing the petitioner just to grab his valuable land.

Learned counsel for the petitioner inter alia contends that there was in fact no dispute with regard to property but the private respondents No. 4 and 5 putting pressure and harassing petitioner to sell his land by forcible means.

In view of the nature of order that is proposed to be passed, no reply is required to be filed by the respondents. The petitioner's claim is that he is owner of the land measuring 1 kanal situated at village Alikha, Tehsil and District Pathankot as described in para 2 of the petition. It is alleged that the petitioner has not entered into any agreement with the private respondents nor there is any complaint or FIR against the petitioner. The petitioner has already filed a representations dated 10.05.2015 and 15.05.2015 (Annexures P-1 and P-2, respectively) in this regard before respondent No. 2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Pathankot. The instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.

2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Pathankot to look into the representations dated 10.05.2015 and 15.05.2015 (Annexures P-1 and P-2, respectively) regarding threat perception and safety of the petitioner and his family members and if needed take appropriate steps in accordance with law.

However, it is made clear that this order will have no bearing on the matters if, there is any dispute pending with regard to disputed land or if the petitioner is wanted in connection with any FIR or some criminal action.
