In view of the above there is nothing to keep the present matter pending.

According, the present petition is dismissed as having been rendered infructuous with liberty to the petitioner to contest the cancellation report before the Magistrate concerned.

Needless to say that the petitioner shall be at liberty to avail all remedies available to him under the law.
