SURINDER GUPTA, J.(Oral) This petition is for seeking protection of life and liberty of petitioners, who alleged to have married against the wishes of respondents No. 4 and 5, brother-in-law and sister-in-law of petitioner No.1. Learned counsel for the petitioners has limited his prayer for taking appropriate action in accordance with law on the representation dated 18.01.2017 (Annexure P-4) made by the petitioners. It has been stated that both the petitioners are major. The date of birth of petitioner No.1-Amarjeet Kaur is 01.01.1983 as per copy of Aadhaar Card (Annexure P-1) and that of petitioner No.2-Krishan Singh is 20.06.1988 as per copy of Aadhaar Card (Annexure P-2). They got married on 18.01.2017 Photographs of marriage are Annexure P-3. Petitioner No.

1 is a widow and it is her second marriage, while it is first marriage of petitioner No.2. In view of the prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioners, but without expressing any opinion on the validity of marriage of petitioners, petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2Sachin Mehta 2017.01.

CRM-M-1883-2017 -2Senior Superintendent of Police, Sangrur to look into the representation 18.01.2017 (Annexure P-4) and take appropriate action in accordance with law, on receipt of copy of this order along with representation in his office. However, it is made clear that this order will have no effect on the validity of alleged marriage of the petitioners or on any other civil or criminal proceedings instituted against them.
