ARVIND SINGH SANGWAN J. (Oral) Prayer in this criminal writ petition, which is received by post and treated as Habeas Corpus petition, is to issue direction to the SHO/Incharge, Police Station Sector 3, Chandigarh for releasing Mohd. Jahangir and Abdul Karim, from the custody of Rekha and her son Sidharth, who are residents of House No.101, Sector 8, Police Station Division No.3, Chandigarh.
Counsel appearing for the UT, Chandigarh, on instructions from HC Balkar Singh, has argued that on verification both the aforementioned detenues were not found present at the given address. It is further argued that the police official on investigation, has found that one person is presently residing in Jalandhar (Punjab) and the other one is residing in Bihar (Uttar Pradesh).
In view of the above, no further action is called for. Disposed of.
