(Oral) The precise grievance of the petitioner (wife) is that initially in a petition under Section 9 of the Hindu Marriage Act, the dispute between husband and wife was resolved before the Mediation Centre at District Court, Amritsar. Thereafter, again on 20.02.2017, the petitioner was again beaten up by the private respondents and thrown out from the matrimonial house. Now, she and her family members are being threatened by the private respondent. In this regard, the petitioner has made a representation (Annexure P-3) to the Commissioner of Police, Amritsar, but till date no action has been taken thereon.

In view of above, without commenting on the merits of the case, this petition is disposed of with a direction to the Commissioner of Police, Amritsar (respondent No.2), to look into the representation (Annexure P-3), filed by the petitioner and shall take appropriate steps, in accordance with law.
