***** JAISHREE THAKUR, J. (ORAL) This petition has been filed by the petitioner under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure seeking quashing of FIR No. 571 dated 20.12.2017 under Sections 365, 34 IPC, registered at Police Station Safidon, District Jind.

Pursuance to the notice of motion issued, appearance has been caused by Mr. Sapan Dhir, Advocate, on behalf of respondent Nos. 2 & 3 by filing power of attorney on their behalf.

Reply by way of affidavit of Sunil Kumar, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Safidon has been filed on behalf of the respondent-State. As per the reply filed, it is stated that on the registration of the FIR, the matter was investigated by SI Jagbir Singh, Police Station SATYAWAN 2018.12.03 17:32 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRM-M-1985-2018 (O&M) -2Safidon. A statement of Harpreet Kaur, the daughter of the complainant was got recorded by the Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Jind, in which she has deposed that she had gone with Harman Preet Singh-petitioner with her own free will and they have solemnized a marriage. Now she wants to reside with him. Based on the statement recorded, the SHO, Police Station Safidon had prepared a cancellation report in this matter and has submitted to the Illaqa Magistrate on 25.05.2018. Notices have been issued to the complainant in the said matter.

In view of the fact that the cancellation report has been submitted before the Illaqa Magistrate and notices have been issued to the complainant to come forward either to accept the same or to file a protest petition, however, she has not turned up, no further orders are called for in the instant petition.

Petition stands disposed of accordingly.
