(ORAL) At the outset, when a pointed query was put to the learned counsel for the petitioner as to whether any proceedings under Section 82 of the Cr.P.C. have been initiated against the petitioner, he has replied in the negative. However, it has been submitted that LOC has been issued against the petitioner, who is stated to be residing in United Kingdom.

After arguing for some time, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he may be permitted to withdraw the instant petition as he would like to avail of certain remedies under the provisions of law.

Dismissed as withdrawn.
