***** GURVINDER SINGH GILL, J. (Oral) The petitioners have approached this Court for issuance of directions to respondents No.1 to 3 to protect their lives and liberty as they apprehend threat to the same at the hands of respondents No.4 to 7. 2.

It is the case of the petitioners that although they have not formally solemnized marriage but they are in a 'live-in' relationship which is somehow not acceptable to the private respondents i.e. respondents No.4 to 7. The petitioners are present in person. Upon a query made to the petitioners, while petitioner No.1 stated that he is not previously married, petitioner No.2-Rakhi, however stated that she was married to one Raju and that the said Raju has been missing since last 4-5 years and that her marriage with Raju has not formally dissolved by a decree of divorce. 3.

While refraining from making any expression as regards the validity of relationship of the parties, the petition is disposed of with a direction that GAURAV SOROT 2020.03.13 16:35 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

-: 2 :- CRWP-2598-2020 in case the petitioners approach the police authorities concerned by way of filing a detailed representation with regard to their alleged threat perception, the same shall be got examined by Superintendent of Police, Mohindergarh (respondent No.2), expeditiously in accordance with law and necessary steps as may be warranted under the facts and circumstances of the case be taken thereupon forthwith. 4.

A copy of this order be sent to Superintendent of Police, Mohindergarh (respondent No.2), so as to enable him to do the needful expeditiously. 5.

It is clarified that the aforesaid order is not to be treated to have conferred any kind of immunity upon the petitioners, in case it is found that they have committed any wrong.
