(Oral) Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that respondent No.5 has been lodging false complaints against the petitioner wherein it is alleged that he had invested an amount of `2 lakhs in the committee allegedly being run by the petitioner whereas the petitioner is an agriculturist and not into the committee business.

Learned counsel has further submitted that on an earlier occasion the allegations levelled in one such complaint were duly inquired into by the police and were found to be false as would be evident from report MOHAN SINGH 2021.03.31 20:33 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

- 2 - CRM-M-14369-2021 (O&M) dated 4.11.2020 (Annexure P-2) but despite the same respondent No.5 has been filing false complaints, on the basis of which respondent No.4 had been sending notices to him.

Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and while refraining from making any expression as regards the veracity of the averments made in the petition, the same is disposed of with a direction to respondent No. 2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Ludhiana (Rural), to ensure that the petitioner is not repeatedly called on the basis of identical complaints made by respondent No.5, in case the same has already been got thoroughly examined. It is further directed that in case the petitioner is required to be associated with any inquiry or any information is to be elicited from him, then prior written notice be afforded to him. A copy of this order along with copy of petition be sent to Senior Superintendent of Police, Ludhiana (Rural) (respondent No.2) so as to enable him to do the needful at the earliest.
