(ORAL) Petition herein, inter alia, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to extend the contract term of the petitioner as Assistant Professor (Contract), in continuation of her appointment letter dated 17.01.2018 (Annexure P-1). 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner received a letter dated 10.03.2021 (Annexure P-2) through an e-mail, informing her that she has been relieved from the post of Assistant Professor (Contract) on attaining the age of 60 years. Contractual faculty is entitled to work beyond the age of 60 years, is the contention. In the premise, petitioner submitted a representation dated 11.03.2021 (Annexure P-4), but the same has not been adverted by the respondents till date. Hence, the instant petition.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that, at this stage, he would be satisfied if a final decision is taken, either way, on the pending representation dated 11.03.2021 (Annexure P-4), wherein she has spelled out her grievance.

Given the nature of order being passed, there is no necessity to seek return by any of the respondents as no further proceedings and/or pleadings are required.

Without commenting on the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the competent authority to look into the representation dated 11.03.2021 (Annexure P-4) as well as the contentions in the present petition, by treating the same as supplementary representation, and decide the same, by passing a speakingorder, in accordance with law. 6.

Let the needful be done within a period of 02 months from today.
