******* SURINDER GUPTA, J.(Oral) The present petition has been filed under Section 438 Code of Criminal Procedure for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.89 dated 2.6.2016 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 419, 420, 465, 467, 471 read with Section 120-B of Indian Penal Code and 82 of Registration Act, 1908, at Police Station Division No.5, Ludhiana.

Heard.

The allegation against the petitioner is that he had identified the impersonator, who allegedly executed sale deed with regard to the property of complainant Charanjit Singh. Petitioner is a Lamberdar, on whose identification of impersonator, the Sub-Registrar relied and registered the sale deed.

CRM-M-19075-2017 -2Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner had relied on identity proof of the impersonator as such, he could not be held liable for the wrong identification of the person before the Sub Registrar. The above submission of learned counsel for the petitioner has no merits. The Sub-Registrar has allowed registration of sale deed on the identification of petitioner. In this way, the petitioner had not only misled the Registration Authorities, but has also allowed property of complainant to be sold by an impersonator.

In view of the above, no reason is made out to extend the benefit of pre-arrest bail to the petitioner in this case. Dismissed.
