The prayer made in the present petition is release the revised pensionary benefits to the petitioners in terms of the order dated 11.07.2024, passed by this Court in CWP No. 29782 of 2022 (O&M) and other connected cases titled 'Satya Parkash Khanna and others versus State of Punjab and others', Annexure P-10, which has since been implemented vide order dated 19.11.2024, Annexure P-11.

Learned counsel would contend that regarding the claim raised in the present petition, a legal notice 05.01.2025, Annexure P-13, has been served upon the respondents, which has yet not evoked any response. He thus, on instructions prays that a direction may be given to the respondents to decide the same in a time bound manner, to which learned State counsel has no objection to the limited prayer made.

In view of the above and without commenting on the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the PARVINDER SINGH 2025.03.01 15:36 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

CWP No. 5660 OF 2025 respondents to decide legal notice dated 05.01.2025, Annexure P-13, within a period of 06 months, taking note of the aforesaid judgments which this Court has no reason to believe the authorities would not address in a just, fair and reasonable manner. Upon doing so, after notice and hearing offered to them and if found entitled, grant the benefit forthwith. Needless to say, if the orders are adverse to their interest, the same shall contain reasons and the petitioners shall be free to seek legal redress thereupon.
