******* SURINDER GUPTA, J.(Oral) The present petition has been filed under Section 438 Code of Criminal Procedure for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.14 dated 29.01.2016 registered for the offence punishable under Section 21 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, at Police Station Gharinda, District Amritsar Rural. Heard.

Learned State counsel on instructions from HC Major submits that the petitioner has appeared before the trial Court in terms of order dated 11.05.2018, where the case is now fixed for 28.08.2018 for recording of evidence.

In view of submission of learned State counsel but without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this petition is allowed and order dated 11.05.2018 is made absolute till the presentation of challan, subject to the following terms:- (i) that the petitioner shall keep on appearing before trial JITENDER KUMAR 2018.08.24 17:06 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document HIGH COURT, CHANDIGARH Court regularly;

CRM-M-20065 of 2018 -2- (ii) that the petitioner shall not, directly or indirectly, make any inducement, threat or promise to any person acquainted with the facts of the accusation against him so as to dissuade him from disclosing such facts to the Court or to any police officer;

(iii) that the petitioner shall not leave India without the prior permission of the Court.
