        **** VINOD S. BHARDWAJ, J. (ORAL) Challenge in the present petition is to the order dated 29.09.2022 (Annexure P-15) whereby the representation submitted by the petitioner for issuance of Arms Licence has been rejected.

A written statement has been filed on behalf of the respondents, wherein, it has been averred that the petitioner has an alternative remedy of preferring an appeal under Section 18 of the Arms Act, 1959 read with Rule 105 of Arms Rules-2016 before the Divisional Commissioner. Counsel for the petitioner does not dispute the same. Accordingly, the present petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to prefer an appeal before the Appellate Authority. In the event of the petitioner preferring an appeal within a period of four weeks from today, the Appellate Authority shall consider and decide the same at the earliest and preferably within a period of six months thereafter by granting an opportunity of hearing.

Petition stands disposed of accordingly.
