(ORAL) Petitioners, by way of instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C., have approached this Court seeking direction to respondents No. 1 to 3 for taking action against respondent No.4 in FIR No. 258 dated 29.3.2014 under Sections 409/420/467/468/471/506 IPC, registered at Police Station Sadar Karnal.

Notice of motion was issued and pursuant thereto, reply has been filed on behalf of the State.

In compliance of the order dated 10.7. 2015 passed by this Court, status report by way of affidavit dated 8.8.2015 of the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Karnal, on behalf of respondents No. 1 to 3, filed in the Court today, is taken on record and copy thereof has been supplied to the learned counsel for the petitioner. CRM-M-19179 of 2014 (O&M) Learned counsel for the State as well as learned counsel for respondent No.4 submit that petitioners have no locus standi to file the present petition, as they are not the complainants, but, still the police authorities are seized of the matter. An effective and proper investigation is being conduced, which is very much clear from the affidavit filed today. They submit that in this view of the matter, no further orders are called for in the present petition and the same may be disposed of, as such.

Having heard the learned counsel for the parties and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, lest it should prejudice the rights of either of the parties, present petition is disposed of with a direction to the Superintendent of Police, Karnalrespondent No.2 to ensure fair and independent investigation, at an early date, taking the matter to its logical end, strictly in accordance with law, and without having been influenced by the pressure being put by the petitioners.

Disposed of, accordingly.
