(ORAL) In the present writ petition, the grievance which is being raised by the petitioner is that he is entitled for stepping up of his pay equivalent to Sh. Ram Chand, who was junior to him in the cadre of Assistant Lineman as well as in the cadre of Lineman. Counsel for the petitioner states that salary of Sh. Ram Chand as on 01.03.2014 was `22,630/- whereas salary of the petitioner was `22,030/- and therefore, as per the instructions issued by the respondents, the petitioner is entitled for the step up of his pay from the date his junior person started getting the higher pay. Counsel for the petitioner further states that for the relief which has been sought in the present writ petition, the petitioner has submitted a representation dated 10.11.2014 (Annexure P-1) to the NARESH KUMAR 2019.03.25 13:21 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh

CWP-7480-2019 -2respondents, which is still pending consideration with them and the petitioner will be satisfied, at this stage, in case a time bound direction is issued to the respondents to decide the said representation. In view of the request made, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case and the claim being made by the petitioner, the respondents are directed to decide the representation dated 10.11.2014 (Annexure P-1) by passing a speaking order within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. In case after the decision, it is found that the petitioner is entitled for any monetary benefit, the same shall also be released to him within a period of next three months.

Present writ petition stands disposed of.
