GURVINDER SINGH GILL, J (ORAL) The petitioners have approached this Court seeking quashing of FIR No.42 dated 19.3.2016 under Section 379-B IPC registered at P.S City Kapurthala, District Kapurthala, on the ground that the parties have entered into a compromise.

Vide order dated 11.5.2018, the parties were directed to appear before the trial Court/Illaqa Magistrate so as to get their statements recorded. However, since the parties did not appear before the trial Court/Illaqa Magistrate on the nominated date, a request was made before this Court for seeking another opportunity, which was granted. However, as per the report of learned ACJM, Kapurthala, the complainant did not turn up to get his statement recorded, even thereafter. Today, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner. In view of the aforesaid facts, it appears that the petitioner is not interested in pursuing this petition.
