The petitioner was allegedly found in possession of 300 grams of powder, which was found to be Alprazolam on the basis of FSL report. The petitioner remained on interim bail w.e.f. 16.4.2015 till 21.12.2015 during the pendency of the waiting period for awaiting the report of the Chemical Examiner. The petitioner has been in custody since 21.12.2015. In view of short duration of period in custody by the petitioner, counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the petition at this stage with liberty to approach this court again after the expiry of some more period.
