ARVIND SINGH SANGWAN J. (Oral) Prayer in this petition is for issuance of direction to official respondents to decide the representation (Annexure P1) filed by the petitioner against the private respondents.

Counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is working as a Panchayat Officer in the office of Block Development and Panchayat Office, Pakhowal and respondents No.6 to 9, who are members of the Panchayat, are filing false complaints against him which, on enquiry, were found to be false. It is further submitted that the petitioner is facing threat to life and liberty of his family. In view of the above, this petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.4 - Senior Superintendent of Police (Rural), Ludhiana to look into the grievance of the petitioner and dispose of the representation (Annexure P1) after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. It is made clear that the respondent No.4 will, on conclusion of the enquiry, proceed further in the light of judgment of the Hon'ble Supreme Court "Lalita Kumari vs Govt. of U.P. and others", 2013(4) RCR (Criminal) 979.
