(Oral) Status report by way of affidavit of Sh. Vijay Kumar, PPS, Assistant Commissioner of Police, North, Amritsar (additional charge) filed in the Court today. The same be taken on record. A copy thereof has been supplied to learned counsel for the petitioners. Para 6 of the status report reads as under :- "That it is submitted that total 33 prosecution witnesses were cited in this case FIR No. 142 dated 06.05.2020 (supra) and during trial of the present 24 prosecution witnesses have so far been examined and this case is now fixed for 13.08.2024 for examination of remaining prosecution witnesses. The present petitioner Gurpreet Singh was granted bail by the Hon'ble Court on 31.07.2024 and petitioners Lakhwinder Singh and Amritpal Singh are in judicial custody and co-accused Beant Singh is on bail."

CRR No. 423 of 2021 Faced with the situation that out of 33 cited prosecution witnesses, 24 witnesses already stand examined, learned counsel for the petitioners seeks to withdraw the present petition with liberty to take all the pleas as available to the petitioners, in accordance with law at all stages of trial.
