Petitioner has filed this petition under Section 439 Cr.P.C. for grant of regular bail in case FIR No.220 dated 13.10.2014 under Sections 420, 409, 465, 467, 468, 471, 167 and 120-B IPC, registered at Police Station Sohana, Mohali.

Notice of motion was issued. Learned State counsel as well as learned counsel for the complainant appeared and contested the petition. I have heard learned counsel for the parties as well as learned State counsel and have gone through the record. From the record, I find that there is allegation in the FIR that Vineet Gulati 2017.08.03 10:20 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh present petitioner is the main accused and he, in connivance with others,

CRM No.M-19236 of 2017 -2embezzled `12.81 crore in the Wembley Cooperative House Building Society. There are also allegations regarding incomplete record of the Society, illegal tampering, violation of bylaws of the Society. Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the present case, nature and gravity of the offence and in view of the preliminary stage of the case, I do not find it a fit case where petitioner is entitled to benefit of regular bail at this stage.

Therefore, finding no merit in the present petition, the same is dismissed.
