******* SURINDER GUPTA, J.(Oral) The present petition has been filed under Section 438 Code of Criminal Procedure for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No. 15 dated 16.10.2016 registered for offences punishable under Sections 406/409/420/465/467/468/471 of Indian Penal Code and 13 (1) (d) read with Section 13 (2) of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, at Police Station Vigilance Bureau, FS-1, Punjab at Mohali. Heard.
Instant FIR was registered on receipt of secret information that paper for examination to select S.D.O. (Civil), which was being conducted by Thapar University has been leaked in connivance with officials of that University. Various candidates, who had to appear in that examination, were taken to Delhi to show the leaked paper and allegations against the petitioner is that he had taken those candidates to Delhi and had also taken blank signed cheques from them.
