Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner apprehends danger to his life and liberty from the hands of Manjit Singh and others, whose names have been mentioned in Annexure P-1. So far as the registration of FIR against the aforesaid private respondents is concerned, he submits that petitioner will avail other alternate remedies available to him.

In view of submission of learned counsel for the petitioner, this petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Tarn Taran to look into the representation made by petitioner Annexure P-1 and to verify the allegations leveled therein relating to threat to his life and liberty and take appropriate action in accordance with law.

However, it is made clear that nothing contained in this order shall be interpreted as giving protection to the petitioner against any legal action taken in any civil, criminal or other proceedings instituted/initiated/pending against him.
