Prayer made in the present petition is to quash the final merit list dated 18.02.2025, Annexure P-5 to the extent it includes the name of respondent No.6 (Navdeep Kaur) general category candidate against the vacant post of General (Female) EWS category, leaving the petitioner out, whose application was in the said category, which is also contrary to instructions dated 03.12.2021, Annexure P-6.

Learned State counsel, on instructions from Ms. Saru Sharma, Law Officer, states that the aforesaid having come to light the private respondent shall not be allowed to join, rather the name of the petitioner would be sent to the Selection Committee of the University for consideration of his claim in 10 days and in case he is found entitled consequences thereof shall follow.
