ARVIND SINGH SANGWAN J. (Oral) Prayer in this writ petition received through post is to release the son of the petitioner namely Surinder Singh @ Gagni, from the custody of ASI Jasvir Singh.

Reply by way of affidavit of the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub-Division Jaitu, District Faridkot, is on record and as per the reply, the statement of Manjit Singh has been recorded, in which he has stated that his son was never taken by the police officials. In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of having been rendered infructuous.
