RAMENDRA JAIN, J. (ORAL) Prayer in the instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been made for quashing FIR No. 284 dated 25.12.2004 (Annexure P-1) registered under Sections 420, 467, 461, 468, 471 and 120-B IPC at police Station City Khanna and all subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of compromise dated 24.01.2011 (Annexure P-3) effected in between the parties.

Pursuant to orders dated 21.01.2020 of this Court, learned Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Khanna, submitted his report vide letter No. 74 dated 25.02.2020, duly forwarded by the learned District and Sessions Judge, Ludhiana, vide letter No. 144 dated 25.02.2020. According to same, none of the parties have turned up before him to record their statements regarding compromise nor any receipt regarding payment of costs of `50,000/- has been produced. CRM-M-20434-2018 -2Pursuant to the order dated 21.01.2020, original receipt regarding deposit of costs of `50,000/- has been produced in Court today. The same is taken on record. Be tagged at appropriate place. Considering the overall facts and circumstances and the fact that none came forward to represent respondent No. 2-Bank, despite service to lay challenge to the alleged compromise Annexure P-3, relied upon by the petitioners, aforesaid FIR No. 284 dated 25.12.2004 (Annexure P-1) and all subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, are quashed, qua the petitioners only.

Registry is directed to verify deposit of aforesaid costs, with the concerned quarter.
