IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB & HARYANA AT CHANDIGARH

CRM-M-20492-2016 (O&M) Date of decision: 09.08.2018 Rajesh Kumar ..... Petitioner

Versus

State of Punjab and another ..... Respondents

CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RAMENDRA JAIN PRESENT: None for the petitioner.

Mr. AS Gill, DAG, Punjab.

RAMENDRA JAIN, J. (ORAL) Despite the case having been called twice, the petitioner has gone un-represented.

Perusal of the file shows that on 27.07.2016, the petitioner had gone un-represented. Therefore, it can safely be presumed that the petitioner or his counsel is no more interested in pursuing the instant petition.

More so, on instructions from ASI Ashok Kumar, learned State counsel submits that the instant petition has rendered infructuous, in view of the fact that all the prosecution witnesses stood examined and the case is fixed for tomorrow for defence evidence.

In view of the above, the instant petition is dismissed as having rendered infructuous and for want of prosecution as well.
