Learned counsel for the petitioner has confined the relief claimed in this petition to the extent that the life and liberty of the petitioner from the hands of private respondents be protected. It is submitted that in the land dispute, private respondents are giving threat to the petitioner and he has intimated this fact to the local police. Without expressing any opinion on merits, this petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Moga to look into this grievance of the petitioner on filing a specific application/representation to this effect by the petitioner with him.

However, it is made clear that the above order will not be interpreted to provide protection to the petitioner from any legal action to be taken in any civil, criminal or any other proceedings against him in accordance with law.
