IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA

AT CHANDIGARH CRM-M-20680 of 2016 (O&M) Date of Decision: 11.02.2019 Mahesh Chand Mohnani and others

...Petitioners

Versus

State of Punjab and others ....Respondents CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RAMENDRA JAIN Present:- None for the petitioners.

Mr. Harpreet Multani, AAG, Punjab.

Mr. Yogesh Goel, Advocate, for respondents No.2 to 4. RAMENDRA JAIN, J. (ORAL) Through instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. prayer has been made for quashing FIR No.80 dated 06.08.2015 registered under Sections 420 and 120-B IPC pertaining to Police Station Division No.8, Kailash Chowk, Ludhiana.

Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Surinder Kumar, contends that instant petition has rendered infructuous in view of the fact that all the petitioners have been declared proclaimed offenders. Perusal of file shows that on previous date also, petitioners had gone unrepresented. Even today, none has appeared on their behalf. Therefore, it can safely be inferred that petitioners or their counsel are no more interested in pursuing instant petition. Accordingly, the petition is dismissed for want of prosecution and also considering the fact that all the petitioners have been declared proclaimed offenders.
