(ORAL) Prayer in the instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been made for quashing FIR No.73 dated 29.04.2017 (Annexure P-1) registered under Section 420 IPC at Police Station City Kotakpura, District Faridkot, on the basis of compromise between the parties. Pursuant to the order dated 21.09.2017 of this Court, the parties appeared before the Illaqa Magistrate on 30.10.2017 to get their statements recorded. Learned Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Faridkot, has submitted his report vide letter bearing No.2246 dated 06.11.2017 duly forwarded by learned District and Sessions Judge, Faridkot vide letter No.3456/EB dated 07.11.2017.

According to the report, learned Judicial Magistrate Ist Class is satisfied that compromise entered into between the parties is with their free volition, without any inducement, threat, promise, coercion or undue Ravinder Singh 2017.12.02 12:38 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document influence from any quarter.

Considering the report of learned Judicial Magistrate Ist Class

-2CRM-M-19780 of 2017 dated 06.11.2017 and the fact that the compromise will bring harmony in relations between the parties, FIR No.73 dated 29.04.2017 (Annexure P-1) registered under Section 420 IPC at Police Station City Kotakpura, District Faridkot, is hereby quashed, subject to costs of ` 10,000/- to be deposited with the State Legal Services Authority, U.T., Chandigarh. Petition is disposed of accordingly.

Registry is directed to list the case on 11.12.2017 with regard to deposit of costs by the petitioners.
