Petitioner has filed this petition under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 seeking anticipatory bail in FIR No. 31 dated 19.3.2014 under Section 406, 498-A of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, registered at Police Station Women, Ludhiana. While issuing notice of motion, following order was passed by this Court on 4.6.2014-:- "Notice of motion for 7.7.2014.

At the asking of the Court, Mr.KS Sidhu, Deputy Advocate General, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State.

Copy of the paper book has been handed over to the learned State counsel in the Court.

Meanwhile, in the event of arrest of the petitioner by the Arresting Officer, he shall be released on interim GURPREET SINGH 2015.01.23 16:11 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

Crl. Misc. No. M-19913 of 2014 -2bail subject to the following conditions:-

1) that he shall make himself available for interrogation by a police officer as and when required;

2) that he shall not directly or indirectly make any inducement, threat or promise to any person acquainted with the facts of the case so as to dissuade him from disclosing such facts to the Court or to any police officer and;

3) that he shall not leave India without the previous permission of the Court."

The case was sent to Mediation and Conciliation Centre at the request of the counsel for the complainant. Before Mediation and Conciliation Centre, parties have amicably settled their dispute. In terms of the compromise effected between the parties, learned counsel for the petitioner has handed over a draft in the sum of ` 40,000/- to the complainant, who is present in person along with her counsel.

Since the parties have amicably settled their dispute, interim bail granted by this Court to the petitioner vide order dated 4.6.2014, is made absolute.

Petition stands disposed of accordingly.
