(Oral) The present petition has been filed under Section 482 of the BNSS, 2023 for grant of pre-arrest bail to the petitioner in case bearing FIR No.335 dated 22.07.2023, under Sections 22 of the Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (Section 52-A of Prisons Act added later on) registered at Police Station Division No.7, Ludhiana. The case has been taken up on three different occasions. While on 06.03.2026, Counsel for the petitioner has sought time. On the subsequent two occasions, when the matter was listed, Counsel for the petitioner chose not to appear. Even today, the case has been called twice, no one has appeared on behalf of the petitioner. Dismissed for non-prosecution.
