The present petition has been filed under Section 438 Cr.P.C., for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.157 dated 24.09.2023 under Sections 420 IPC registered at Police Station Civil Lines, Patiala District Patiala. 2.

On the last date of hearing i.e. on 13.03.2024 while noticing the following submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court had granted the concession of interim bail to the petitioner and asked her to join investigation: "Learned counsel for the petitioner inter alia contends that a perusal of the FIR (Annexure P-1) reveals that a civil dispute between the parties has been intentionally twisted to give it a criminal colour. Furthermore, neither is the petitioner named in the FIR nor any role attributed to her; moreover, the vehicle in question was transferred in her SONIA BURA 2024.07.04 11:10 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Narata Ram, has informed the Court that during investigation no substance was found in the allegations levelled against the petitioner and a cancellation report has been prepared, which would be submitted before the Court concerned very shortly.

In view of the above, present petition is allowed and interim order dated 13.03.2024 is made absolute subject to the conditions as envisaged in Section 438(2) Cr.PC.
