(Oral) In the present petition, the grievance being raised by the petitioner is that though the result of the written examination for the post in question has been declared by the respondents-department but, category wise result has not been declared so as to show the transparency that the candidates equal to 12 times the number of posts to be filled up in each category have been called for further participation in the selection process. Notice of motion.

On advance notice, Mr. Kanwal Goyal, Advocate and Ms. Sheena Dahiya, Advocate accepts notice on behalf of HPSC and submits that though the result of the written examination has been declared roll number wise in view of Note 2 & 3 as mentioned in Clause 9 of the advertisement in question without describing the category in which those candidates have been found eligible to compete further, but the said result was prepared/declared keeping in view the number of posts to be filled up in each category as advertised by the advertisement in question. From the statement of the learned counsel for the respondentscommission, it is clear that though the candidates have been shortlisted to RIYA 2024.03.14 17:29 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CWP-5802-2024 (O&M) -22024:PHHC:036901 compete further in the selection process keeping in view the number of posts to be filled up in each category but the result has been declared without noting that which roll number has cleared the written examination in which category, hence, the grievance of the petitioner can be addressed in case, the respondent-Commission is directed that the details of the candidates through their roll numbers who have been found eligible to participate further in the selection process are bifurcated into various categories in which those candidates have been found eligible to participate further in the selection process. This process will redressed the grievance being raised by the petitioner in the present petition.

Let the result of the preliminary examination be declared category wise by publishing the roll Nos of eligible candidates in each category in which the posts have been advertised to be filled up for the information of all the concerned including the candidates who have been found eligible to compete further in the selection process and also the candidates who could not go further in the selection process so that it could be ascertain that candidates shortlisted in each category in which the advertised posts are to be filled up equal to the 12 times the number of posts to be filled up in each category.

Let the necessary result in terms of this order be declared by 18.03.2024 till 5.00 p.m.
