RAMESHWAR SINGH MALIK, J Petitioner by way of instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C., seeks directions to respondents no.1 and 2 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner and his family members at the hands of respondent no.4. Notice of motion was issued and pursuant thereto, reply by way of affidavit dated 11.8.2014 was filed. Learned counsel for the State, on instructions from HC Gurmit Singh, Police Station Tanda, Distt. Hoshiarpur, submits that in view of the reply filed, present petition does not survive and the same may be disposed of, as having been rendered infructuous.
