Present petition has been filed for issuance of direction to official respondents to take immediate action by addition of offence in FIR No.11, dated 21.01.2024, under Sections 341, 324, 323, 506, 148 and 149 IPC and Section 326 IPC added later on, registered at Police Station Shimlapuri, District Police Commission, Ludhiana, against respondents No.4 to 13.

Learned State counsel has submitted, on instructions from Inspector Balwinder Singh, that in all there are nine accused out of which five have been arrested and they have been granted bail also. He further submits that investigation is going on and challan would be presented against the five accused. So far as rest of the four accused are concerned, he submits that efforts are being made to arrest them and investigation qua them also would be completed expeditiously.
