The present petition has been filed under Section 482 CrPC for transfer of inquiry on the application of the petitioner, Annexure P-6 pending before respondent No.4 to some higher officer. 2.
Learned State counsel has filed status report by way of an affidavit of Gurmeet Singh, PPS, Senior Superintendent of Police, Vigilance Bureau Ferozepur Range, Ferozepur. He makes a reference to para 5 thereof, which reads thus:- "5. That it is respectfully submitted that the deponent also carried out thorough probe into the matter and for this purpose, both the parties were called and their respective statements were recorded. Vide letter No.3176/VB/S-4 dated 03.05.2023, the deponent has submitted his Inquiry Report to the Chief Director, Vigilance Bureau, Punjab for taking final decision in the matter. In this way, as per prayer of the petitioner, the matter has been thoroughly investigated by a higher rank official i.e. the deponent. Now the said report is under consideration with the authority supra for final decision which SANDAL SHARMA 2023.07.13 10:01 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

In view of the aforesaid, the present petition has been rendered infructuous and disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to take alternate remedy available to him in accordance with law.
