Present:

Mr. Jatinderpal Singh, Advocate for the petitioner. HARINDER SINGH SIDHU, J By way of instituting this petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C, the petitioner has sought for issuance of direction to official respondent Nos.2 & 3 to conduct proper inquiry into his complaint (P.1) apart from taking suitable action against respondent Nos.4 & 5. It is stated that the petitioner submitted a complaint dated 22.5.2018 (P.1) to the Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana alleging that respondent Nos.4 & 5 had taken an amount of Rs.21,90,000/- from the petitioner in order to send him abroad. Said amount was paid by the petitioner through different methods of payment like RTGS, cash, fund transfer and cheques etc, the detail of which is indicated in Annexure P.2.

Learned counsel states that similar complaints were made by certain other persons against the said respondents and preliminary inquiry in this respect was also conducted. Legal opinion of the District Attorney was sought, who opined for registration of a criminal case for an cognizable offence having been made out against the said respondents but despite the MANOJ KUMAR 2019.03.

CRM-M-12763 of 2019 #2# aforesaid, no action has been taken so far.

Without commenting upon the merits of the case or opining on the veracity of the allegations contained in the representation, this petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to look into the grievance of the petitioner, as raised by her in the complaint dated 22.5.2018 (P.1) and take appropriate action as may be warranted, in accordance with law.
